Who or what is sumogorilla.
Well you may have noticed I really like monster movies.
Starting with the 1933 KING KONG (Still awesome), I grew up with the 1976 remake and have a soft spot for that movie too!
also I Love the Universal Monsters and I can't forget about the
Japanese Monster films like GODZILLA and GAMERA.
Our favorite movie here at SumoGorilla.com is the rarely seen
Japanese version of King Kong vs. Godzilla!
So we wanted to make our own monster as our mascot and title for our website.
Well we decided we didn't want to use a Giant lizard or Turtle, so we decided on a giant gorilla in tribute to the King himself. And to tie in the some Japanese elements...we started kicking around japanese words and came up with Sumo.
Sumo-Gorilla...sounds funny, looks funny, but made sense....Kind of.....
So SUMOGORILLA was born.
